Connective Tissue Release Therapy

Returning many of your body's joints to their full range of movement in a gentle non invasive therapy.

Connective Tissue Release. The Hugh Gilbert Technique.

Imagine a spider's web running from the tip of your toes to the crown of your head.

It attaches to everything in your body, studies have shown this web goes through your tendons, muscles, ligaments and even your brain tissue. It is your body's first like of defence against danger to the body and it does so by tightening up to protect around your vital organs with 2000lbs of pressure per square inch. Sometimes though, this web doesn't unravel when the danger has passed. As you can imagine this type of pressure when left switched on over time can cause long term discomfort and eventual restriction of joints and movement. When this is the case, often times no amount of massage or postural alignment will bring the body back to its optimum performance without releasing these restricted joints.

This technique has been designed to allow the body to release gently and as pain free as possible in order to allow you to return to your best.
