Sports massage is a firm, focused hands-on treatment used by people who train, and by anyone with tight, tired muscles. I’m Stephen Thornton, a neuromuscular therapist with 14 years’ experience, based at Ochilview Therapies in Reddingmuirhead, Falkirk.

What to expect: every visit starts with a conversation about what’s bothering you, so I can focus the treatment where it’s needed. A session lasts an hour and costs £55. Wear shorts or comfortable underwear and I’ll keep you covered with towels. We agree the pressure together.
